How males are more likely to be struck by lightning
Being struck by lightning is easily one of the most unlikely type of natural violence to occur. This may not always be the case, as males are more likely to be struck by lightning, in comparison to females. According to AccuWeather.com, approximately 82% of the 648 that were struck by lightning and killed in the US from 1995 to 2008 were male.
As there is no complete scientific proof why this is, there must be some kind of answer. Perhaps it is because men perform more dangerous acts, or it could be because guys are idiots when it comes to lightning storms, or anything else for that matter. Nevertheless, it seems that this pattern isn’t going anywhere, and statistics still show that men are over four times, in comparison to women, struck by lightning.
